In addition, we monitor their medical needs and organize emergency referrals and follow-up care in close cooperation with other organizations and civil society groups.
Advocacy is another important component of our work in Poland. In 2024, we raised concerns over new border policies that would restrict asylum access, calling on the government of Poland and institutions of the European Union to immediately reverse these measures. MSF continues to call for an end to pushbacks, and for better treatment and protection of asylum seekers in Poland.
MSF also supports refugees from Ukraine who have crossed into Poland since the beginning of the conflict. We work with local authorities and international partners to ensure continuity of care for those with tuberculosis (TB), linking them to appropriate medical facilities and providing psychological and social support.
