Dr. Carrie Teicher, MD, MPH, is the chief programs officer at Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières USA. She leads MSF USA's work on research and analysis, policy and advocacy, and representation and diplomacy, in addition to overseeing the grants unit and the health/medical unit. Dr. Teicher has served on MSF USA's management team in various capacities since 2017 and was the inaugural co-chair of the MSF Access Executive Board in 2023.
Dr. Teicher has worked for MSF in multiple roles across four continents over two decades, including as a medical and surgical epidemiologist for Epicentre, MSF's epidemiology and research group, where she authored dozens of peer-reviewed abstracts and publications. She began her career in global public health when she served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Mali in 2001 after graduating from Barnard College.
Dr. Teicher holds an MD from Tel Aviv University and an MPH from Columbia University, where she currently maintains an academic appointment at the Mailman School of Public Health.
